A single cask, single grain North British whisky, aged for 18 years. Distilled in March 2003, and matured in a refill barrel until June 2021. One of 456 bottles. No colouring added, non-chill-filtered.
An aromatic nose full of old sweetie-bag scents with dark treacly molasses and muscovado sugar. The palate is tannic, showing dark macerated raisins and sultanas amongst rich spices, cereal and distinct dark Italian coffee, continued into the long finish, plus barley sugar and burnt citrus zest.
